Male Contraceptive Uptake and Associated Socio-Economic Characteristics in Kenya

This research investigated the relationship between socioeconomic characteristics and male contraceptive uptake in Kenya. A survey of 572 randomly selected respondents participated study. The study assessed respondents’ profiles such as location residence, age, marital status, polygyny, family size, education attainment, working status income level. age ranged from 18 to 60 years. Chi-square results indicated significant relationships residence (p = 0.005), size 0.021), attainment 0.005) level 0.032). concluded that men’s area desired number children, had a influence on uptake. It is recommended there need develop male-friendly acceptable options for men besides condoms vasectomy, with view increasing among males
