Maintenance and End-of-Life Analysis in LCA for Barge-Type Floating Wind Turbine

This paper is aimed at improving the maintenance and end-of-life steps in associated Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of barge-type floating wind turbines to reduce their environmental impact. Maintenance are given special attention since these phases have received only cursory focus previous LCA studies. Different scenarios been considered analysis. From results, it has found that by applying on-site onshore strategies, lifetime turbine can be extended. Four alternative for step examined: mechanical recycling, mechanical-incineration, incineration processes, landfill. The impacts evaluated using methodology. investigation showed lowest correspond recycling scenarios. These CO2 emissions 13.68 g eq/kWh 0.107 eq/kWh, respectively.
