چکیده
Smart manufacturing is the modern form of that utilises Industry 4.0 enablers for decision making and resources planning by taking advantage available data. Therefore, state art technologies are either replaced or improved using newly introduced paradigm. In practice, condition monitoring an on-going activity preserves facility capability to deliver its production aims decrease discontinuity as much possible. Against this background, paper discusses proposes a framework fault detection at different levels namely component station. The relies on Virtual Engineering (VE) Discrete Event Simulation (DES) in smart environments. application suggested methodology implementation demonstrated case study battery module assembly line.

Integrating Bridge Structural Health Monitoring and Condition-Based Maintenance Management
The development of structural health monitoring (SHM) technology has evolved for over fifteen years in Hong Kong since the implementation of the “Wind And Structural Health Monitoring System (WASHMS)” on the suspension Tsing Ma Bridge in 1997. Five cable-supported bridges in Hong Kong, namely the Tsing Ma (suspension) Bridge, the Kap Shui Mun (cable-stayed) Bridge, the Ting Kau (cable-stayed) B...
متن کاملSmart Sensors for Condition Based Maintenance: a Test Case in the Manufacturing Industry
Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) is a well-known concept and it has been demonstrated that it is the way ahead to prognostic maintenance for failure avoidance and for the reduction of maintenance cost. This paper presents an application for Condition Based Maintenance, with a specific focus on State Detection, according to MIMOSA OSA-CBM reference architecture. The papers aims at presenting pe...
متن کاملApplication of Multivariate Control Charts for Condition Based Maintenance
Condition monitoring is the foundation of a condition based maintenance (CBM). To relate the information obtained from the condition monitoring to the actual state of the system, it is usually required a stochastic model. On the other hand, considering the interactions and similarities that exist between CBM and statistical process control (SPC), the integrated models for CBM and SPC have been ...
متن کاملAvailability analysis of mechanical systems with condition-based maintenance using semi-Markov and evaluation of optimal condition monitoring interval
Maintenance helps to extend equipment life by improving its condition and avoiding catastrophic failures. Appropriate model or mechanism is, thus, needed to quantify system availability vis-a-vis a given maintenance strategy, which will assist in decision-making for optimal utilization of maintenance resources. This paper deals with semi-Markov process (SMP) modeling for steady state availabili...
متن کاملNon-Intrusive Monitoring for Condition-Based Maintenance
The Navy’s Integrated Condition Assessment System (ICAS) is continuously evolving to meet the needs of today’s fleet as well as the requirements of future ship designs. This paper describes a technology known as the non-intrusive load monitor that could support the evolution of ICAS and other condition-based maintenance (CBM) systems. The non-intrusive load monitor (NILM) [8, 9, 10] can be used...
