Magnetic turnstiles in nonresonant stellarator divertor

چکیده
Non-resonant stellarator divertors have magnetic flux tubes, called turnstiles, that cross cantori, which are fractal remnants of destroyed invariant tori with holes, lie outside the outermost confining surface. The exiting and entering tubes can be adjacent as is generally expected but also unexpected feature or at separate locations cantori. Not only there two types pseudo turnstiles exist. A turnstile formed when a cantorus has sufficiently large, although limited, radial excursion to strike surrounding chamber wall. existence non-adjacent resolves issues arose in earlier simulations nonresonant [A. Island divertor experiments on the Wendelstein 7-AS stellarator
A promising new operational regime on the Wendelstein stellarator W7-AS has been discovered, fulfilling the conditions of optimal core behavior in combination with edge parameters suitable for successful divertor scenarios. This regime, the high density H-mode (HDH), displays no systematically evident mode activity, and is edge localized mode (ELM)-free. It is extant above a power-dependent thr...

Molecular turnstiles, based on a hinge composed of a Sn-porphyrin bearing coordinating sites at the meso positions and a handle, equipped with a tridentate coordinating pole or its Pd(ii) complex, connected to the porphyrin through Sn-O bonds, offering open (free rotation of the handle around the hinge) and close states (blockage of rotation through binding of Pd(ii)) were designed, prepared an...
متن کاملThe lmpact of the New lsland Divertor on the Plasma Performance in the W 7 - AS Stellarator
W7-AS has recently been equipped with ten open divertor modules in order to experimentally evaluate this exhaust concept in view of future application to W7-X. The new divertor enables access to a new NBl-heated, very high density (up to n" = 3.5x1020 m-3) operating regime with promising confinement properties. The energy confinement time increases steeply with density. In contrast, the particl...
