چکیده
AIDS cholangiopathy is a rare condition characterized by intra- and extra-hepatic ductal strictures causing biliary obstruction primarily in individuals with advanced HIV infection low clusters of differentiation 4 (CD4) count. This case report presents male patient history HIV, poor adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART), chronic cryptosporidiosis infection, who exhibited clinical radiological findings consistent immunocompromise cholangiopathy. The presented respiratory symptoms, weight loss, renal dysfunction, elevated liver enzymes. Imaging studies, including ultrasound magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP), revealed diffuse dilatation stricturing, indicative Subsequent endoscopic retrograde (ERCP) stent placement was performed manage the obstruction. highlights importance considering patients ART compliance present symptoms or cholestatic enzyme abnormalities. Prompt diagnostic evaluation using MRCP ERCP can aid confirming diagnosis guiding appropriate therapeutic interventions, management initiation ART.

Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography: the ABC of MRCP
Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) is a technique that has evolved over the past two decades. It continues to have a fundamental role in the non-invasive investigation of many pancreatico-biliary disorders. The purpose of this review is to summarise the key concepts behind MRCP, the different techniques that are currently employed (including functional and secretin-stimulated MR...
متن کاملPancreas divisum: magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography findings.
Pancreas divisum is a common congenital abnormality of the pancreas that results from the lack of fusion between the dorsal and ventral pancreatic ducts during foetal development. In these cases, the dorsal duct becomes the main pancreatic duct and drains most of the pancreas. Pancreas divisum is mainly asymptomatic, but the prevalence of pancreas divisum is higher in patients with chronic abdo...
متن کاملcardiac magnetic resonance imaging findings in a patient with ebstein’s anomaly and left ventricular dysfunction
ebstein anomaly is characterized by apical displacement of the septal and posterior tricuspid valve leaflets, leading to atrialization of the right ventricle and could be diagnosed in a routine transthoracic echocardiography exam. we reported a young man with right sided heart failure symptoms who was found to have biventricular failure with suspected apical displacement of septal leaflet of tr...
