Magnetic Natural Coagulants for Plastic Recycling Industry Wastewater Treatability

The plastic recycling industry generates a high volume of wastewaters. In this study, an unprecedented use Moringa oleifera and tannin (Acacia mearnsii bark) associated with magnetite was proposed for the treatment these response surface method (RSM) central composite rotational design (CCRD) methodology applied to optimize influence operational variables (pH, temperature, electrical conductivity, turbidity, apparent color, chemical oxygen demand (COD), total solids) on performance magnetic natural coagulants coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation process. results indicated that pH, solids did not generate significant differences in treatments when added coagulants. Similarly, parameters COD also present association, although achieving efficiencies. Finally, addition significantly improved efficiency removal optimized (21.55 mg L−1 concentration 28 min sedimentation). Thus, are potential alternatives wastewater could be used as environmentally friendly coagulant.
