چکیده

The nutritional status, juice quality and sugar production of sugarcane varieties RB867515 RB92579 were evaluated in the cane-plant cycle, as a function magnesium doses applied at bottom planting furrow. study, installed soil with Mg content equal to 0.61 cmolc dm-3, was conducted an experimental design randomized blocks four replications. study 2 x 5 factorial: two varieties: RB92579, five magnesium: zero, 60, 120, 180 240 kg per hectare, using oxide source Mg. commercial magnesium. plots consisted seven furrows meters length 1.0 meter spacing. All received phosphorus potassium fertilization dose 100 150 no nitrogen fertilization. In maximum growth phase sugarcane, status evaluated. About year after planting, when cane mature, plant harvested assess varieties. There effect on any analyzed variables. Regarding nutrient leaf +3, deficiency found only for potassium, copper manganese. had average productivity industrializable stalks sugars, respectively 96.0 13.7 tons surpassing by about 10%. results this confirm reports other researchers who mention that contents order 0.50 dm-3 are sufficient adequate nutrition sugarcane.

A Field Trial of Certain Sugar Cane Varieties: Series B

The present series was planted in October, 1928, and comprises those varieties of which it was considered desirable to have quantitative trials and of which sufficient material had already accumulated for this purpose. These varieties were Co 205 and 210 of the Coimbatore seedlings, several, canes of the Uba type, including CH. 64/21, a cross between Uba and D. 74, produced at the Cuban Agricul...

Sugar Cane By-products as Livestock Feed

Sugar cane is one of the most successful tropical crops, with many agronomic factors in its favour such as high yield, tolerance of a wide range of soils, resistance-to pests, a perennial growth habit, and a sophisticated supportive technology providing improved varieties and cultural practices. It is still grown almost exclusively for sugar production; however, a number of alternative uses hav...

Continuous Ethanol Production Using Yeast Immobilized on Sugar-cane Stalks

Sugar-cane stalks, 2.0 cm long, were used as a support for yeast immobilization envisaging ethanol production. The assays were conducted in 38.5 L fermenters containing a bed of stalks with 50% porosity. The operational stability of the immobilized yeast, the efficiency and stability of the process, as well as the best dilution rate were evaluated. Molasses from demerara sugar production was us...

Artificial Neural Network Based Model for Forecasting Sugar Cane Production

Problem statement: The global need for alternative energy source has necessitated the exploration of vast organic agricultural products with a view of processing them for the production of ethanol in commercial quantity. To ascertain a sustainable production of ethanol from processed sugar cane, a predictive model based on non-linearity nature of its production is imperative. This is due to una...

Direct determination of sugar cane quality parameters by X-ray spectrometry and multivariate analysis.

Current methods for quality control of sugar cane are performed in extracted juice using several methodologies, often requiring appreciable time and chemicals (eventually toxic), making the methods not green and expensive. The present study proposes the use of X-ray spectrometry together with chemometric methods as an innovative and alternative technique for determining sugar cane quality param...
