Machine translation systems and quality assessment: a systematic review

چکیده
Abstract Nowadays, in the globalised context which we find ourselves, language barriers can still be an obstacle to accessing information. On occasions, it is impossible satisfy demand for translation by relying only human translators, therefore, tools such as Machine Translation (MT) are gaining popularity due their potential overcome this problem. Consequently, research field constantly growing and new MT paradigms emerging. In paper, a systematic literature review has been carried out order identify what systems currently most employed, architecture, quality assessment procedures applied determine how they work, of these offer best results. The study focused on specialised produced experts, linguists, specialists related fields that include English–Spanish combination. Research findings show neural predominant paradigm current scenario, being Google Translator used system. Moreover, analysed works one type evaluation—either automatic or human—to assess machine 22% combined two types evaluation. However, more than half included error classification analysis, essential aspect identifying flaws improving performance systems.

Vending machine assessment methodology. A systematic review.
The nutritional quality of food and beverage products sold in vending machines has been implicated as a contributing factor to the development of an obesogenic food environment. How comprehensive, reliable, and valid are the current assessment tools for vending machines to support or refute these claims? A systematic review was conducted to summarize, compare, and evaluate the current methodolo...
متن کاملconstruction and validation of translation metacognitive strategy questionnaire and its application to translation quality
like any other learning activity, translation is a problem solving activity which involves executing parallel cognitive processes. the ability to think about these higher processes, plan, organize, monitor and evaluate the most influential executive cognitive processes is what flavell (1975) called “metacognition” which encompasses raising awareness of mental processes as well as using effectiv...
Towards a Systematic Evaluation of Machine Translation Systems
There are still a lot of uncertainties about the evaluation of machine translation (MT) systems. In this report, we try to establish a catalog of criteria which we consider to be crucial for a systematic assessment of MT systems; the paper is divided into three parts: technical, linguistic and entrepreneurial criteria. Furthermore, we give hints on how to organize an evaluation project.
متن کاملA New Quantitative Quality Measure for Machine Translation Systems
In this paper, an objective qtumtitative quality measure is proposed to evaluate tile performance of machiue translation systems. The proposed method is to compare the raw translation output of an MT system with the final revised version lor the customers, and then compute the editing efforts required to convert the raw translation to the final version. In contrast to the other prolx)sals, the ...
