Signal processing using LUT filters based on hierarchical VQ
Vector quantization (VQ) is a powerful tool in signal processing. Hierarchical VQ (HVQ) is a method to implement VQ completely based on look-up tables (LUT). In HVQ, both encoders and decoders are inherently simple and fast, since there are no searches over codebooks. We introduce an overlapped HVQ (OHVQ) method, in which the number of samples is preserved after each HVQ stage. After the last s...
متن کاملDevelopment of Nonlinear Lattice-Hammerstein Filters for Gaussian Signals
In this paper, the nonlinear lattice-Hammerstein filter and its properties are derived. It is shown that the error signals are orthogonal to the input signal and also backward errors of different stages are orthogonal to each other. Numerical results confirm all the theoretical properties of the lattice-Hammerstein structure.
متن کاملFIR differentiators for quantized signals
The impact of quantization noise on a signal whose rate is to be estimated using a FIR differentiator is analyzed, concentrating on the important constant-rate case in order that the filter be optimized for systems with low-frequency rates of change. Formulae for the mean-squared error of the filter, the corresponding spectral characteristics, and general formulae governing the filter coefficie...
متن کاملsimulation and design of electronic processing circuit for restaurants e-procurement system
the poor orientation of the restaurants toward the information technology has yet many unsolved issues in regards to the customers. one of these problems which lead the appeal list of later, and have a negative impact on the prestige of the restaurant is the case when the later does not respond on time to the customers’ needs, and which causes their dissatisfaction. this issue is really sensiti...
15 صفحه اولScheduling parallel Kalman filters with quantized deadlines
In this paper we explore the problem of scheduling parallel processes of Kalman filters to meet individual estimation error requirements. It is assumed that at each time-step measurements of only one process are received. We define real-time deadlines of transmissions and convert the problem into arranging sequence of tasks with corresponding deadlines. To reduce computations, cycles of transmi...
