Introduction. Communication apprehension is significant in understanding the language skills acquisition of foreign students. However, studies on communication have been devoted mainly to second learners English Language. Consequently, there is, body literature, insufficient evidence understand factors that impact third learners. This gap can limit capacity researchers interested mechanism underlying learners’ apprehension. warranted need investigate predictive powers socio-demographic variables, academic motivation, and self-efficacy French, Chinese German Nigerian Federal universities. Method. A hierarchical regression analysis was conducted a sample 278 (French n = 148; 78 =52). Socio-demographic variables (age, gender specialization), dimensions motivation (intrinsic extrinsic motivational strength) served as predictor while criterion variable. Results. Results revealed were not predictors, intrinsic negatively significantly predicted whereas strength became positive only when their entered model. Discussions conclusions.
