This letter proposes a low-phase-noise high-efficiency power oscillator with digitally controlled output and frequency. The transformer-based matching network resonator is implemented to balance the quality factor efficiency. active core transformer are jointly optimized achieve required while achieving low phase noise high Besides, cross-coupled pair array utilized tune power. To verify mechanism mentioned above, fabricated using conventional 40-nm CMOS technology an area of 0.19 mm 2 . proposed exhibits 21.7% tuning range from 2.30 2.86 GHz. maximum 4.5 dBm peak system efficiency 25.1%. Meanwhile, measured at 3-MHz offset -140.36 dBc/Hz 2.79 corresponding figure merit (FoM) 189.2 dBc/Hz, FoM T 196 dBc/Hz.
