چکیده
Abstract Blood-based biomarkers reflect systemic inflammation status and have prognostic predictive value in solid malignancies. As a recently defined biomarker, Pan-Immune-Inflammation-Value (PIV) integrates different peripheral blood cell subpopulations. This retrospective study of collected data aimed to assess whether PIV may predict the pathological complete response (pCR) neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) Turkish women with breast cancer. The consisted 743 patients cancer who were scheduled undergo NAC before attempting cytoreductive surgery. A pre-treatment count was obtained two weeks preceding NAC, blood-based calculated from absolute counts relevant populations. pCR as absence tumor cells both mastectomy specimen lymph nodes. Secondary outcome measures included disease-free survival (DFS) overall (OS). One hundred seven (14.4%) had pCR. In receiver operating characteristic analysis, optimal cut-off values for neutrophile-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte (MLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte (PLR), PIV, Ki-67 index determined ? 2.34, 0.22, 131.8, 306.4, 27, respectively. clinical (T) stage, NLR, MLR, PLR, estrogen receptor (ER) status, human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2) significantly associated univariate analyses. However, multivariate analysis revealed that T ER HER-2 independent predictors Moreover, low group better DFS OS than those high ( p = 0.034, 0.028, respectively). Based on our results, seems predictor survival, outperforming PLR predicting received NAC. further studies are needed confirm findings.

Peripheral inflammation/immune indicators of chemosensitivity and prognosis in breast cancer patients treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy
Introduction Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) has become a standard treatment for locally advanced breast cancer. The present study was designed to investigate the predictive value of different peripheral inflammation/immune biomarker responses to NAC and prognosis in breast cancer patients. Materials and methods A total of 180 breast cancer patients treated with NAC in the First Affiliated Hos...
متن کاملAssociation of tumor infiltration lymphocytes and complete pathological response in breast cancer patients under neoadjuvant chemotherapy
Background: The breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in Iran. Hence determination of the optimal treatment and the contributing factors are important. The main aim in current study was to determine the association between tumor infiltration of lymphocytes (TIL) and complete pathological response in breast cancer patients after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Methods and materials: In this...
متن کاملMeta-analysis showing that early response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy predicts better survival among cervical cancer patients
This study was designed to identify the prognostic value of early response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) for long-term survival of cervical cancer patients. We searched Pubmed and EMBASE for studies published through July 2016 on outcomes of cervical patients that received NACT. Eight studies involving 825 cervical cancer patients were ultimately included in our meta-analysis. We pooled th...

The aim of this study was to evaluate preoperative tumour expression of NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1) along with other biological markers as potential predictors of pathological complete response (pCR) to neoadjuvant docetaxel, doxorubicin, and cyclophosphamide-containing (TAC) chemotherapy in patients with primary breast can...
متن کاملPathologic response after neoadjuvant chemotherapy predicts locoregional control in patients with triple negative breast cancer
PURPOSE Our goal was to determine the impact of pathologic response after neoadjuvant chemotherapy in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) on the subsequent risk of locoregional recurrence (LRR) and disease-free survival (DFS) in the setting of adjuvant radiation therapy. METHODS AND MATERIALS This was an institutional review board-approved retrospective chart review of patients with clinical...
