چکیده
Background: Lateral elbow tendinopathy (LET) is one of the most common musculoskeletal conditions. Treatment includes a series therapeutic alternatives. However, resolution takes nearly 24 months. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) an effective option, especially when tendon presents intrasubstance tear (IST). It unknown what type rehabilitation plan more after this treatment. Aim: To perform study protocol double-blinded, randomized clinical trial to determine efficacy specific low-load exercise program in patients with LET and IST treatment PRP under US-guided Methods: A single-center, parallel-controlled, randomized, phase III was pro-posed. Patients over 18 years-old diagnosed treated will be selected. Two arms allocated ratio 1:1 (low-load vs. conventional program). The principal outcome reduction size. Secondary outcomes include Patient-Rated Tennis Elbow Evaluation score, visual analogue scale, handgrip at baseline, 3, 6, 12 months follow-up. Statistical tests 2-sided t-test alpha level (significance level) 0.05. Discussion: intervention aims significantly reduce size improve pain functionality PRP. We proposed first studies literature that considered detailed standardized applied these patients. result could used speed up save time money, help evaluate guidelines, patients' athletes' quality life.

Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections for Advanced Knee Osteoarthritis: A Prospective, Randomized, Double-Blinded Clinical Trial
BACKGROUND Intra-articular injections of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to treat symptoms of knee osteoarthritis (OA) have been successfully used in young patients and in the early stages of disease. No previous studies have analyzed outcomes of PRP injections during the late stages. HYPOTHESIS PRP reduces pain and leads to a more effective and lasting functional recovery than corticosteroid with...
متن کاملAstym treatment vs. eccentric exercise for lateral elbow tendinopathy: a randomized controlled clinical trial
UNLABELLED Introduction. Patients with chronic lateral elbow (LE) tendinopathy, commonly known as tennis elbow, often experience prolonged symptoms and frequent relapses. Astym treatment, evidenced in animal studies to promote the healing and regeneration of soft tissues, is hypothesized to improve outcomes in LE tendinopathy patients. This study had two objectives: (1) to compare the efficacy ...
متن کاملPlatelet-rich plasma as a treatment for patellar tendinopathy: a double-blind, randomized controlled trial.
BACKGROUND Previous studies have shown improvement in patellar tendinopathy symptoms after platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, but no randomized controlled trial has compared PRP with dry needling (DN) for this condition. PURPOSE To compare clinical outcomes in patellar tendinopathy after a single ultrasound-guided, leukocyte-rich PRP injection versus DN. STUDY DESIGN Randomized controll...
متن کاملSmall Ball Exercise Program for Patients With Chronic Nonspecific Low Back Pain: A Randomized Clinical Trial
Purpose: Low back pain (LBP) is one of the main causes of disability in adults. Approximately 80% of LBPs lead to chronic nonspecific low back pain (CNSLBP). Damages to back region may be due to weak musculoskeletal structure, impaired muscle or joint flexibility, changes in muscle tone, and reduced strength and endurance. A set of exercises by small ball was designed by the corresponding and f...
متن کاملPlatelet-rich plasma versus autologous whole blood for the treatment of chronic lateral elbow epicondylitis: a randomized controlled clinical trial.
BACKGROUND Chronic lateral elbow epicondylitis is a tendinosis with angiofibrolastic degeneration of the wrist extensors' origin. Healing of this lesion is reported with the use of autologous blood as well as with platelet-rich plasma (PRP). PURPOSE A comparative study of these 2 treatments was conducted in an effort to investigate the possible advantages of PRP. STUDY DESIGN Randomized con...
