Low-Frequency Broadband Absorbing Coatings Based on MOFs: Design, Fabrication, Microstructure and Properties

Although most microwave absorbing materials (MAMs) have good absorption ability above 8 GHz, they perform poorly in the low-frequency range (1–8 GHz). Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) derived carbon-based composites been highly sought after electromagnetic and functional devices, due to their high specific area, porosity, thermal stability, low reflection loss, adjustable composition. In this review, we first introduce three loss types of MAMs argue that composite are effective ways achieve broadband absorption. Secondly, properties traditional MOF literature compared, followed by a discussion promising strategies for designing with frequencies based on recent progress. Finally, main problems, fabrication methods, applications discussed future prospects.
