چکیده

Atheists are among the most disliked groups in America, which has been explained a variety of ways, one is that atheists hostile towards religion and anti-atheist prejudice therefore reactive. We tested this hypothesis by using 2018 American General Social Survey investigating attitudes atheists, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Muslims. initially used general sample Americans, but then identified isolated individuals who were theists, nonreligious religious and/or theistic Christians. Logically, if inordinately religion, we would expect to see greater degree in-group favouritism atheist group out-group dislike. Results indicated several notable findings: 1). significantly more than any other group. 2). rated Hindus as favourably they their own in-group, Muslims less positively (although effect was small). 3). Christian theists showed pronounced strong dislike atheists. No evidence could be found support contention general, Christians specifically, although may have Type II error. Love Thy Neighbour: Group Properties of Gaping Behaviour in Mussel Aggregations

By associating closely with others to form a group, an animal can benefit from a number of advantages including reduced risk of predation, amelioration of environmental conditions, and increased reproductive success, but at the price of reduced resources. Although made up of individual members, an aggregation often displays novel effects that do not manifest at the level of the individual organ...

Love Thy Neighbour: Automatic Animal Behavioural Classification of Acceleration Data Using the K-Nearest Neighbour Algorithm

Researchers hoping to elucidate the behaviour of species that aren't readily observed are able to do so using biotelemetry methods. Accelerometers in particular are proving particularly effective and have been used on terrestrial, aquatic and volant species with success. In the past, behavioural modes were detected in accelerometer data through manual inspection, but with developments in techno...
