Longhorned woodboring beetles (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) from Cusuco National Park, Honduras: new species, new records, and revalidation

An ongoing study of the longhorned beetle fauna in cloud forests Cusuco National Park revealed multiple additions to Honduran fauna. Four new species are described: Heterachthes caceresae sp. nov. (Cerambycinae, Neoibidionini), Oreodera kawasae (Lamiinae, Acrocinini), Phrynidius guifarroi Apomecynini), and Strangalia lunai (Lepturinae, Lepturini). Additionally, Lagocheirus parvulus Casey, 1913 Acanthocinini) is revalidated as araneiformis (Lagochirus [sic]). We recorded Arixiuna varians (Bates, 1881) Hemilophini) for first time Honduras. These findings confirm how poorly invertebrate biodiversity documented hints at large number we losing with deforestation.
