Long-Term Urban Epidemic and Disaster Resilience: The Planning and Assessment of a Comprehensive Underground Resilience Core

This study utilizes the enclosed and stable environment of underground space for long-term sustainable planning urban epidemics disasters. Owing to COVID-19 epidemic, cities require epidemic–disaster management. Therefore, this proposed a strategy integrating multiple functions plan comprehensive Underground Resilience Core (URC). A assessment methods URC were proposed. With methodology, epidemic- disaster- URCs integrated construct comprehensive-URC in spaces. The results show: (1) Epidemic-resilient adopting joint progressive approach with designated hospitals can rapidly suppress an epidemic outbreak. (2) regularity morphology spaces determines area URC. Bar-shaped have potential disaster-URCs. (3) efficiency ranking is as follows: Bar shapes lead overall, T are second under seismic resilience, Cross resilience.
