چکیده

Right ventricular outflow tract anomalies (RVOTAs), such as pulmonary stenosis (PS), atresia (PA), and insufficiency (PI), are typical cardiac in monochorionic twins, they complicated by twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). The aim of this study was to conduct a long-term postnatal cardiological evaluation prenatal RVOTAs diamniotic twin pregnancies TTTS treated with fetoscopic laser surgery (FLS) analyze possible predictors congenital heart disease (CHD). Prenatal were retrospectively retrieved from all cases FLS our unit between 2009 2019. Twenty-eight (16 PI, 10 PS, 2 PA) observed out 335 TTTS. Four did not reach the period. CHD present 17 remaining 24 (70.8%), being severe (58.8%; 10/17); nine PS required balloon valvuloplasty, one case biventricular non-compaction cardiomyopathy. risk major increased evidence decreased gestational age at time normalization blood flow across valve. Despite treatment FLS, majority had follow-up.

The Treatments of Twin-Twin Transfusion Syndrome in Monochorionic Twin Pregnancies by the Fetoscopic Laser Photocoagulation

Fetoscopic laser surgery for severe Twin-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) has been conducted since early 1990s in United States and Europe. After the conclusion of Eurofetus in the randomized clinical trial [1], fetoscopic laser surgery has become the standard and optimal treatment for the TTTS condition. Recently, the techniques have been implemented throughout the globe; many institutions hav...

Fetoscopic Laser Photocoagulation for the Treatment of Twin-Twin Transfusion Syndrome in Monochorionic Twin Pregnancies

Fetoscopic laser surgery for severe twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) has become the optimal treatment choice since the release of the Eurofetus randomized clinical trial. These techniques have been adopted throughout the globe, and many institutions have instituted or will soon institute fetoscopic laser surgery procedures; however, laser surgery has a steep learning curve because of the f...

The morphology of the right ventricular outflow tract after percutaneous pulmonary valvotomy: long term follow up.

Twenty nine patients (19 male, mean (SD) age 6.25 (0.5) years (range 0.16-15 years] with typical pulmonary valve stenosis were treated by balloon dilatation of the pulmonary valve. They were studied by echocardiography before the procedure, immediately after it, and at follow up (mean (SD) 10.2 (5.6) months, n = 18). The morphology of the pulmonary valve, the right ventricular-pulmonary artery ...

Is right ventricular outflow tract pacing superior to right ventricular apex pacing? A long-term follow-up study

Background: We report the long-term results of our follow-up study, which compared right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) pacing and right ventricular apex (RVA) pacing in terms of left and right ventricular function, synchrony, cardiac remodeling, the degree of valve regurgitation and clinical outcomes. Methods: Ninety-six patients with completed or high-degree atrio-ventricular block were pro...

Congenital heart disease in twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome treated with fetoscopic laser surgery.

OBJECTIVE To determine the incidence of congenital heart disease (CHD) and right ventricular outflow tract obstruction (RVOTO) in twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) treated with fetoscopic laser surgery and evaluate the role of increased afterload by determining the difference in blood pressure and endothelin-1 at birth between donor and recipient twins. DESIGN Prospective study. SETT...
