Loneliness, life satisfaction, problematic internet use and security behaviours: re-examining the relationships when working from home during COVID-19

Working remotely from home within lockdown conditions can have implications on wellbeing and how people perceive interact with technology to coordinate, communicate collaborate others. Previous research has shown relationships amongst life satisfaction, loneliness problematic internet use and, also, between the latter cyber security behaviours. We re-examine these during UK COVID-19 through an online survey completed by 299 participants working home. The included demographics work questions also Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS), UCLA-3 Loneliness Scale, Problematic Internet Use Questionnaire-Short Form-6 (PIUQ-SF-6), Security Behavior Intentions (SeBIS). Structural equation modelling revealed that most notably, positively predicted use, satisfaction negatively behaviours Implications includes educational therapeutic interventions which could be applied employers/governing bodies target those at risk of hope mitigating experiences improving current findings may especially relevant should waves or similar crisis are experienced, when becomes a norm for some organisations jobs.
