The pier scour process is normally intensified in the presence of an ice cover, which poses risks to longevity and safety bridges. In present study, impact densimetric Froude number, locations, spacing side-by-side piers on local depth under ice-covered flow conditions were investigated based clear water experiments S-shaped laboratory flume. results demonstrated that at along convex bank was more substantial than concave when other factors stayed identical. number clearly has bank. Different from mechanism a straight channel, around flume increases as distance between two (or spacing) increases, while it decreases Similar patterns observed installed different bend apex cross-sections. maximum depths measured cross-sections relatively unchanged influencing held constant. However, decreased bends increased toward downstream.
