LOAN RISK DIVERSIFICATION AND FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF MICROFINANCE INSTITUTIONS IN WESTERN REGION KENYA

A microfinance institution-driving goal is to gain profits so that they can uphold sustainable and stable growth. The internal external economic environs are both regarded as critical drivers for the performance of Microfinance. study sought assess effect loan risk diversification on financial Institutions in Western region Kenya. This was based modern portfolio theory balance scorecard theory. embraced descriptive research design. employed purposive sampling approach pick a sample size fifty-six respondents from fifteen institutions. Questionnaires were used targeted credit managers, accountants finance managers institutions since ones who better placed offer information required investigation. pilot test conducted check reliability instrument data collection.
