چکیده

3D printing, to print continuous fiber reinforced plastics (CFRPs) has advantages of manufacturing complex shape and short production cycle. Due anisotropic mechanical properties fibers, the paving direction fibers determines strengths printed CFRPs. In this paper, a novel load-dependent path planning (LPP) method been proposed generate printing for CFRPs, which exactly follows load transmission parts could provide higher properties. A topology optimization is applied simplify original disordered distribution. developed Stress Vector Tracing (SVT) algorithm, paths are generated along with variable spacing adjacent paths. The LPP compared state-of-the-art shown better load-bearing printability.

3d Printing with Natural Fiber Reinforced Filament

An initial study of 3d printing with compound filament using different plastic matrices and sugar cane bagasse as the filler was conducted. In order to do this, a reverse engineering process was made to several 3d printer extruders to determine how to change the extruder in order to be able to print with the filament. To obtain the filament, a plastic extruder was modified to obtain a compound ...

Path optimizing for 3D printing

In the 3D printing process, the 3D CAD model is built in CAD system and sliced into a series of 2D slices. The 2D cross section data contains a lot of unnecessary idle running. If transform the original data into processing path code directly, the processing efficiency will be significantly reduced. A path optimization algorithm is developed in this paper. The minimum spanning tree strategy is ...

Three-dimensional printing fiber reinforced hydrogel composites.

An additive manufacturing process that combines digital modeling and 3D printing was used to prepare fiber reinforced hydrogels in a single-step process. The composite materials were fabricated by selectively pattering a combination of alginate/acrylamide gel precursor solution and an epoxy based UV-curable adhesive (Emax 904 Gel-SC) with an extrusion printer. UV irradiation was used to cure th...

Ultrasonic Examination of Fiber Reinforced Plastics Using Phased Array Transducers

This paper presents a data fusion method between the results of ultrasound using phased array at 5MHz frequency and those obtained through eddy current examination at 1-10MH frequency. The obtained results are compared with destructive tests, a very good correlation being obtained. The effects of delamination over the properties of CFRP are studied using dynamic mechanical analyzer, emphasizing...

Drilling of Fiber-Reinforced Plastics - Tool Modeling and Defect Prediction

Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites have been steadily replacing metals as choice engineering materials for various applications. Although FRPs can be manufactured to near-net shape, post processing operations such as machining are required to create some features (such as holes). In order to drill holes efficiently with the least waste and defects, it is essential to understand the machi...
