Literature Review of Nursing Education Promoting Professional Socialization among Nursing Students

The aim of this review was to clarify the elements that promote socialization nursing professionals from findings previous studies, with keywords related among undergraduate students, and obtain indicators for promoting professional in students current education. literature conducted using a qualitative analysis promotion students. results were reported according reporting checklist Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) statement. authors search electronic databases July 2021, such as CINAHL (EBSCOhost), MEDLINE (EBSCOhost) English articles, Ichushi Japanese articles. Included studies 1985 2021. Previous integrated studies. A total 23 articles 34 analyzed. methods include self-learning, online media, extracurricular elements, clinical practice. Socialization process differed each school year; first-year tend have ideological answers, while fourth-year practical answers result needs supports instructors mentors. Nursing education has developed diverse modeling, positive effects improving social skills, impact self-efficacy self-esteem fostered commitment identity. However, loss idealism identity after graduation should be considered To establish smoothly, supporting skills by understanding students’ stage socialization.
