Lipase production by microorganisms isolated from the Serra de Ouro Branco State Park

Lipases are hydrolases used in various sectors such as the food, pharmaceutical and chemical synthesis industries. In this study, epiphytic microorganisms were isolated from Serra of Ouro Branco State Park (Minas Gerais, Brazil) subsequently evaluated for their ability to produce extracellular lipases. Among 46 strains, 25 presented positive results lipase production agar plate screening assay. Two these strains that expressed highest diffusion halos, genetically identified Serratia marcescens Pseudomonas fluorescens catalogued Tropical Cultures Collection André Tosello Foundation/Brazil CCT 7796 7797, respectively. The fermentation growth kinetics indicated maximum activities achieved between 96 120h cultivation. lipolytic activity both was observed at an optimum temperature pH 37°C 7.0, At conditions, detected crude enzymatic extract close 15.0 U/mL. We consider species promising producers industrial applications.
