Lingual retainer materials: Comparative evaluation of wear resistance of flowable nanocomposites and universal composite: An in vitro study

Background: A bonded fixed retainer is used to stabilize the alignment of teeth. Different composites have been introduced for this purpose. This study aimed investigate wear resistance flowable nanocomposite in comparison with microhybrid composite an vitro situation. Materials and Methods: In study, 46 disk‑shaped specimens were divided into two groups: Filtek Ultimate Z250 composite. The samples prepared 8 mm diameter 3 thickness aluminum mold light cured. They polished 600 grit sandpaper achieve a smooth surface. Two‑body test was accomplished by pin‑on‑disk device (under 15 N, 20 rpm 1 h). Analyzing weight before after assay demonstrates resistance. Data analyzed using t‑test. P ≤ 0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: shows no significant difference compared (P = 0.701) 0.939) specimens.
