Line Inductance Stability Operation Domain Assessment for Weak Grids With Multiple Constant Power Loads

چکیده

Weak grids are gaining considerable attention since power generation resources remote from constant loads (CPLs), which results in low-frequency/harmonic oscillation. Meanwhile, due to the play, and plug demand of modern system, line inductance weak often changes, is also regarded as variation regarding short circuit ratio (SCR). Based on this, conventional impedance-based stability operation point assessment approaches should be expanded into domain approach considering variation. Therefore, stability-oriented for with CPLs proposed this paper. Firstly, source impedance matrix grid, load admittance separately built. Secondly, an improved forbidden criterion through related mapping transformation process, has lower conservatism than two previous criteria. Thirdly, switched condition that intermediate matrices Hurwitz. directly obtained these matrices, guardian map theory. Finally, simulation, experiment illustrate less conservatism, high efficiency.

Short-term peak shaving operation for multiple power grids with pumped storage power plants

The East China Power Grid (ECPG) is the biggest regional power grid in China. It has the biggest installed capacity of pumped storage power plants (PSPPs) and is responsible to coordinate the operation of its five provincial power grids. A recent challenge of coordinating operations is using PSPPs to absorb surplus energy during off-peak periods and generate power during peak periods. Differing...

Stability Analysis and Stability Enhancement Based on Virtual Harmonic Resistance for Meshed DC Distributed Power Systems with Constant Power Loads

Abstract: This paper addresses the stability issue of the meshed DC distributed power systems (DPS) with constant power loads (CPLs) and proposes a stability enhancement method based on virtual harmonic resistance. In previous researches, the network dynamics of the meshed DC DPS are often ignored, which affects the derivation of the equivalent system impendence. In addition, few of them have c...

Modeling and Stability Analysis of AC-DC Power System with Controlled Rectifier and Constant Power Loads

-Power converters with their controls normally behave as a constant power load. This load can significantly degrade the system stability. Therefore, the system dynamic model is very importance because it can be used for stability analysis. It is well known that power converter models are time-varying because of their switching behaviours. This paper presents the DQ modeling method to eliminate ...

Constant Power Loads (CPL) with Microgrids: Problem Definition, Stability Analysis and Compensation Techniques

This paper provides a comprehensive review of the major concepts associated with the μgrid, such as constant power load (CPL), incremental negative resistance or impedance (INR/I) and its dynamic behaviours on the μgrid, and power system distribution (PSD). In general, a μgrid is defined as a cluster of different types of electrical loads and renewable energy sources (distributed generations) u...

On existence and stability of equilibria of DC Microgrid with constant power loads

The problem of existence and stability of equilibria of DC microgirds with constant power loads methods is addressed in this paper. Constant power loads (CPLs) often cause instability due to its negative impedance characteristics. What is the worse, CPLs may cause that the system admits no equilibria for its nonlinearity. The purpose of paper can be summarized as: A) designing a controller to o...
