Kashmir traditionally known as heaven on earth for its beauty is gifted with water resources comprising rivers, lakes, streams and springs. Lakes provide a multitude of uses are prime regions human settlement habitat. One such body Khushalsar Lake located in the downtown area Srinagar city. It noticed that at present has fallen victim to extensive encroachment, garbage dumping release untreated sewage. Taking pathetic condition this lake dynamic nature bodies general into consideration study was taken up analyse different physicochemical parameters rotifer abundance since rotifers considered be important indicators trophic conditions any aquatic The data collected analysed using standard tools, statistical software’s SPSS (version 20) PAST3. Nutrient content found high only sixteen species Rotifera were observed. Statistically physico-chemical compared inlet, middle outlet lake. Only few showed significant differences. Shannon-Wiener index signifies moderately diverse values lies below 5.00 while Simpson diversity indicate accelerated eutrophication.
