چکیده

Traditional cloud computing of raw Electroencephalogram (EEG) data, particularly for continuous monitoring use-cases, consumes precious network resources and contributes to delay. Motivated by the paradigm shift edge Internet Things (IoT) monitoring, we focus on this paper first step carry out EEG analytics at last frontier (i.e., ultra-edge) our considered cyber-physical system ensuring users’ convenience privacy. To overcome challenges due computational energy resource constraints IoT devices (e.g., headbands/headsets), in paper, envision a smart, lightweight model, referred as Logic-in-Headbands based Edge Analytics (LiHEA), which can be seamlessly incorporated with consumer-grade headsets reduce delay bandwidth consumption. By systematically investigating various traditional machine deep learning models, identify select best model envisioned LiHEA. We consider use-case detecting confusion, representing levels distraction, during online course delivery has become pervasive novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. apply unique feature selection technique find features are triggered confusion where delta waves, attention, theta waves were announced three most important features. Among customized random forest demonstrated highest accuracy 90%. Since dataset size might have impacted performance learning-based approaches, further convolutional generative adversarial (DCGAN) generate synthetic traces representative samples original thereby enhance variation data. While performances models significantly increase after data augmentation, they still cannot outperform model. Furthermore, complexity analysis is performed best-performing algorithms, emerges viable

Ultra Low Power Symmetric Pass Gate Adiabatic Logic with CNTFET for Secure IoT Applications

With the advent and development of the Internet of Things, new needs arose and more attention was paid to these needs. These needs include: low power consumption, low area consumption, low supply voltage, higher security and so on. Many solutions have been proposed to improve each one of these needs. In this paper, we try to reduce the power consumption and enhance the security by using SPGAL, ...

Bringing IoT to Sports Analytics

This paper explores the possibility of bringing IoT to sports analytics, particularly to the game of Cricket. We develop solutions to track a ball’s 3D trajectory and spin with inexpensive sensors and radios embedded in the ball. Unique challenges arise rendering existing localization and motion tracking solutions inadequate. Our system, iBall, mitigates these problems by fusing disparate sourc...

An Architecture for Intelligent Data Processing on IoT Edge Devices

As the Internet of Things edges closer to mainstream adoption, with it comes an exponential rise in data transmission across the current Internet architecture. Capturing and analyzing this data will lead to a wealth of opportunities. However, this ungoverned, unstructured data has the potential to exhaust the resources of an already strained infrastructure. Analyzing data as close to the source...

Security Analytics of Network Flow Data of IoT and Mobile Devices (Work-in-progress)

Given that security threats and privacy breaches are commonplace today, it is an important problem for one to know whether their device(s) are in a ”good state of security”, or is there a set of highrisk vulnerabilities that need to be addressed. In this paper, we address this simple yet challenging problem. Instead of gaining white-box access to the device, which offers privacy and other syste...
