چکیده
Photocatalytic nitrogen fixation under ambient conditions is currently widely explored in an attempt to develop a sustainable alternative for the Haber–Bosch process. In this work, defect-rich carbon nitride, one of most investigated photocatalysts reported literature ammonia generation, combined with earth-abundant and bioinspired FeS2 improve activity production. By combination, enhancement ?400% compared unmodified nitride achieved. The optimal loading established be 1 wt%, yields up 800 µg L?1 after irradiation 7 h. detailed material characterization electronic properties composites before photocatalytic reaction, it revealed that NH3 generation occurs not photocatalytically from N2, but via light-induced reduction ?N–CN groups adjacent vacancies structure nitride. acts similar cocatalyst, enhancing yield by ?-back-donation Fe-centers imine thereby activating boosting cyano groups.

Ammonia-induced robust photocatalytic hydrogen evolution of graphitic carbon nitride.
We report a new and effective method to prepare high activity graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) by a simple ammonia etching treatment. The obtained g-C3N4 displays a high BET surface area and enhanced electron/hole separation efficiency. The hydrogen evolution rates improved from 52 μmol h(-1) to 316.7 μmol h(-1) under visible light.

Ammonia generation through reaction of H(2) with neutral cobalt nitride clusters in a fast flow reactor is investigated both experimentally and theoretically. Single photon ionization at 193 nm is used to detect neutral cluster distributions through time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Co(m)N(n) clusters are generated through laser ablation of Co foil into N(2)/He expansion gas. Mass peaks Co(m)NH...
متن کاملPromotion of hydrogen release from ammonia borane with magnesium nitride.
Hydrogen release from ammonia borane (NH(3)BH(3), AB) can be greatly promoted by mechanical milling with magnesium nitride (Mg(3)N(2)). For example, a post-milled 6AB/Mg(3)N(2) sample started to release hydrogen from ∼65 °C and gave a material-based hydrogen capacity of ∼11 wt% upon heating to 300 °C. In addition to the improved dehydrogenation kinetics, the 6AB/Mg(3)N(2) sample also showed sat...

A system consisting of a [NiFeSe]-hydrogenase (H2ase) grafted on the surface of a TiO2 nanoparticle modified with polyheptazine carbon nitride polymer, melon (CN x ) is reported. This semi-biological assembly shows a turnover number (TON) of more than 5.8 × 105 mol H2 (mol H2ase)-1 after 72 h in a sacrificial electron donor solution at pH 6 during solar AM 1.5 G irradiation. An external quantum...
