چکیده
Abstract We explore the topological phase transitions of RbAg 5 Se 3 using first-principles calculations in combination with maximally localized Wannier function method. Our computations reveal that type-II Dirac cone protected by inversion and time-inversion ( PT ) symmetry addition to C 4z rotation can be regulated type-III type-I points applying strain along [001] direction. More interestingly, when is lifted intercalating a Pt atom into unit cell, sixteen hybrid Weyl emerge accompanied Fermi arcs connecting adjacent Brillouin zones surface states on (010) surface. The point has chirality 1, while −1. work suggests serves as promising platform for study phases curious transport phenomena.

Weyl semimetals in optical lattices: moving and merging of Weyl points, and hidden symmetry at Weyl points
We propose to realize Weyl semimetals in a cubic optical lattice. We find that there exist three distinct Weyl semimetal phases in the cubic optical lattice for different parameter ranges. One of them has two pairs of Weyl points and the other two have one pair of Weyl points in the Brillouin zone. For a slab geometry with (010) surfaces, the Fermi arcs connecting the projections of Weyl points...
متن کاملLandau, Lifshitz, and weak Lifshitz conditions in the Landau theory of phase transitions in solids.
Landau theory provides a group-theoretical method for determining which symmetry changes can occur in second-order phase transitions in solids. The irreducible representations of the space group of the higher-symmetry phase must satisfy certain conditions. For transitions to commensurate crystalline structures, the Landau and Lifshitz conditions must be satisfied. For transitions to incommensur...
متن کاملExperimental observation of Weyl points
In 1929, Hermann Weyl derived [1] the massless solutions from the Dirac equation – the relativistic wave equation for electrons. Neutrinos were thought, for decades, to be Weyl fermions until the discovery of the neutrino mass. Moreover, it has been suggested that low energy excitations in condensed matter[2–8] can be the solutions to the Weyl Hamiltonian. Recently, photons have also been propo...
متن کاملGravity Duals of Lifshitz-like Fixed Points
We find candidate macroscopic gravity duals for scale-invariant but non-Lorentz invariant fixed points, which do not have particle number as a conserved quantity. We compute two-point correlation functions which exhibit novel behavior relative to their AdS counterparts, and find holographic renormalization group flows to conformal field theories. Our theories are characterized by a dynamical cr...
متن کاملCritical Behavior at M-axial Lifshitz Points
An introduction to the theory of critical behavior at Lifshitz points is given, and the recent progress made in applying the field-theoretic renormalization group (RG) approach to φ nvector models representing universality classes of m-axial Lifshitz points is surveyed. The origins of the difficulties that had hindered a full two-loop RG analysis near the upper critical dimension for more than ...
