Level attraction and exceptional points in a resonant spin-orbit torque system

Level attraction can appear in driven systems where instead of repulsion two modes coalesce a region separated by exceptional points. This behavior was proposed for optomechanical and optomagnonic systems, recently observed dissipative cavity magnon-polaritons. We demonstrate that such regime exists spin-orbit torque system magnetic oscillator is resonantly coupled to an electron reservoir. An instability mechanism necessary mode be provided applying electric field. The field excites interband transitions between split bands leading the oscillator. Two points then energy spectrum instability. discuss conditions under which this occur estimate strength reaching with Rashba coupling. A proposal experimental detection made using susceptibility measurements.
