Purpose. The article is dedicated to the research of Lesia Ukrainka’s correspondence, journalistic and literary-critical articles concerning problem national identity as a factor in overcoming "Russian Ukrainians" dichotomy. Achieving this purpose involves solving following tasks: 1) reveal poetess’s views on essence social manifestations worldview fluctuations life activities Ukrainian elite at end 19th 20th centuries; 2) outline her strategy for cultural "inter-words" individual society.
