Leptonic μ - and τ - decays : mass effects , polarization effects and O ( α ) radiative corrections
Leptonic µ-and τ-decays: mass effects, polarization effects and O(α) radiative corrections Abstract We calculate the radiative corrections to the unpolarized and the four polarized spectrum and rate functions in the leptonic decay of a polarized µ into a polarized electron. The new feature of our calculation is that we keep the mass of the final state electron finite which is mandatory if one w...
متن کاملVacuum-Polarization Corrections to Parity-Nonconserving Effects in Atomic Systems
The dominant one-loop vacuum-polarization correction to atomic wave functions are evaluated for the 6s–7s parity nonconserving (PNC) E1 transition amplitude in cesium. This correction increases the size of the PNC amplitude by 0.4% and thus increases the difference between the experimental value of the weak charge QW and the one predicted by the standard model.
متن کاملPhoton Structure Functions: Target Photon Mass Effects and QCD Corrections
We present a systematic analysis of the polarised and unpolarised processes e+ e → e + e − X in the deep inelastic limit and study the effects of target photon mass (virtuality) on the photon structure functions. The effect of target photon virtuality manifests as new singly polarised structure functions and also alters the physical interpretation of the unpolarised structure functions. The phy...

The dominant contribution to the inclusive decays of B mesons into the charm-strangeness mesons D s and D * s is expected to be given by the partonic process b → c + (D − s , D * − s). We determine the nonperturbative O(1/m 2 b) and the O(α s) radiative corrections to b → c + (D − s , D * − s) and thereby to the inclusive decays ¯ B → X c + (D − s , D * − s). The new feature of our calculation ...

Leptonic µ-and τ-decays: mass effects, polarization effects and O(α) radiative corrections Abstract We calculate the radiative corrections to the unpolarized and three polarized spectrum and rate functions in polarized µ-decays into polarized electrons. The new feature of our calculation is that we keep the mass of the final state electron finite. Analytical results are given for the energy spe...
