Leontiasis Ossea about a Case Treated at Chu Owendo

Introduction: Leontiasis ossea is the most severe bone complication of maxillae chronic renal failure. The objective this work to determine clinical, paraclinical and therapeutic aspects condition. Observation: A 42-year-old patient with anuric terminal failure dialysis for 12 years had consulted multiple maxillo-mandibular swelling evolving 2 deforming face discomfort chewing. biological assessment was: PTH: 5252 pg/mL, Ca2+: 2.86 mmol/L, free T3: 4.16 pmol/L, T4: 6.55 TSH: 3.13 U/mL, serum protein: 61 g/L, Creatinine: 835 μmol/L. maxillofacial CT noted heterogeneous diffuse thickening cranial vault bones facial massif evoking leontiasis right mandibular brown tumor. biopsy diagnosed fibrous gingival epulis. undergone modeling surgery, under general anesthesia after dialysis, tumor whose histological result was ossea. Conclusion: Treatment surgery hemostatic control.
