چکیده

Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Introduction In contrast with the usual type Takotsubo syndrome (TS), where apical wall motion abnormality occurs, less common patterns (mid-ventricular, basal, and focal) are often misdiagnosed. Purpose this retrospective study we examined role global (GLS) territorial longitudinal strain speckle tracking in evaluation patients TS. Methods Patients TS were at echocardiography laboratory our general hospital, from August 2019 until 2022. Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) GLS calculated was assessed. Results Out 21 (19 females), median age 67.5 years (range 33.0 – 87.0 years), 11 (52.4%) had distribution, 6 (28.6%) mid-ventricular, 2 (9.5%) basal focal. Of those, 3 excluded due to insufficient echocardiographic image quality. pattern LVEF 37% 23–51%) −7.6% (−5.8 −12.5%), mid-ventricular 40% (35–50%) −14.2% (−9.3 −16.5%) 52% (47–56%) −16.5% (−14.6 −18.4%). first case focal found anterior septal wall, 46% −12.8%. second case, inferoposterior 56% −17.3%. territory −11.7%, mid −3.7% +3.6%. −10.2%, −6.5% −19.7%. −4.3%, −16.4% −29.1%. Conclusion reflect reduction left systolic function distribution abnormalities TS, which further supports initial diagnosis.

Evaluation of left ventricular strain in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy

Objective Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) can cause structural and functional changes in the left ventricle (LV). In this study, we evaluated whether cardiac magnetic resonance tissue-tracking (MR-TT) can be applied to the detection of LV abnormalities in patients with DCM. Methods We used MR-TT to analyze the global peak radial strain (GPRS), global peak circumferential strain (GPCS), and global ...

Echocardiographic Evaluation of left Ventricular Function and Geometry in Pediatric Patients with Kidney Transplantation

Extended abstract Echocardiographic Evaluation of Left Ventricular Function and Geometry in Pediatric Patients with Kidney Transplantation Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is an important, leading cause of mortality and morbidity in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) as well as in renal transplant recipients. Cardiovascular complications become more important in children because of the i...

Left ventricular longitudinal strain in soccer referees

Along the years, the analysis of soccer referees perfomance has interested the experts and we can find several types of studies in literature using in particular cardiac imaging. The aim of this retrospective study was to observe relationship between VO2max uptake and some conventional and not-conventional echocardiographic parameters. In order to perform this evaluation, we have enrolled 20 re...

Evaluation of left ventricular function with strain/strain rate imaging in patients with rheumatic mitral stenosis.

OBJECTIVE The most important sequel of acute rheumatic fever is mitral stenosis in long-term. The aim of the study is to determine left ventricular (LV) functions by tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) and strain/strain rate echocardiography (SE/SRE) in mitral stenosis patients who had no clinical signs of heart failure. METHODS Our study was designed as cross-sectional study. The study population c...
