Learning and Teaching Urban Design through Design Studio Pedagogy: A Blended Studio on Transit Urbanism

Studio-based pedagogy has been central to urban design programmes as it can enable future designers more effectively acquire an understanding of how cities work and critically engage with the role intervention. This paper aims explore capacities challenges learning teaching through studio by drawing on empirical research from a blended experiment during COVID-19 pandemic in UK. is part broader exploratory project using case study mixed methods approach. explains process designing delivering two constructively aligned postgraduate studios MA Urban Design programme at Cardiff University 2021–2022 academic year.
