Leaching of Phosphorus from Quenched Steelmaking Slags with Different Composition

Separating P2O5 from steelmaking slag is the key to achieving optimum resource utilization of slag. If P-concentrating 2CaO?SiO2–3CaO?P2O5 solid solution was effectively separated, it can be a potential phosphate and remaining rich in Fe2O3 CaO reutilized as flux process. In this study, low-cost method selective leaching adopted, hydrochloric acid selected agent. The dissolution behavior quenched slags with different composition acidic investigated mechanism clarified. It found that P ratio each higher than those other elements, an effective separation Fe. ratios P, Ca, Si decreased content increased. A led lower ratio.
