Ldpc Decoder Modelling and Evaluation Using Rt-pepa
This paper presents a high-throughput memory efficient decoder for Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes in the high-rate wireless personal area network application. The novel techniques which can apply to our selected LDPC code is proposed, including parallel blocked layered decoding architecture and simplification of the WiGig networks. We use Real Time Performance Evaluation Process Algebra ...
متن کاملPerformance Modelling of Hierarchical Networks using PEPA
We present a performance evaluation study of hierarchical cellular networks using PEPA. These networks constitute a new application area for this process algebra formalism. We show that this formalism can easly be used to model such systems. We also show that the strong equivalence ag-gregation technique behind PEPA allows a signiicant reduction of the state space of the underlying Markov proce...
متن کاملModelling Role-Playing Games Using PEPA Nets
We present a performance modelling case study of a distributed multi-player game expressed in the PEPA nets modelling language. The case study provides a modern complex distributed application programming problem which has many inherent communication and synchronisation complexities which are subtle to model accurately. We put forward the position that a high-level performance modelling languag...
متن کاملTuberculosis Modelling Using Bio-PEPA Approach
Modelling is a widely used tool to facilitate the evaluation of disease management. The interest of epidemiological models lies in their ability to explore hypothetical scenarios and provide decision makers with evidence to anticipate the consequences of disease incursion and impact of intervention strategies. All models are, by nature, simplification of more complex systems. Models that involv...
متن کاملLDPC Decoder LLR Stopping Criterion
The log-likelihood ratio test on a single check node within the LDPC decoder is monitored to develop a stopping criterion for the decoder that is better than previous stopping criteria, without sacrificing the BER performance. Simulation results are presented for the transmission of the rate 1 2 (288, 576) WiMAX 802.16e LDPC code digits using binary phase shift keying (BPSK) over an AWGN channel.
