LDAB-GPSR: Location PreDiction with Adaptive Beaconing – Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

چکیده
In mobile ad-hoc networks (MANET), nodes are randomly distributed and move freely, hence the network may face rapid unexpected topological changes. this paper, an improved greedy perimeter stateless routing protocol, called “LDAB-GPSR”, is proposed. LDAB-GPSR mainly focuses on maximizing packet delivery ratio while minimizing control overhead. order to accomplish this, two techniques introduced, first one location prediction technique in which forwarding strategy by choosing more stable routes for data forwarding. The second adaptive beaconing slow start algorithm employed adapt beacon interval time based mobility of traffic load instead using periodic strategy. These strategies together improve overall performance GPSR protocol. new proposed protocol evaluated carrying out several NS-2.35 simulation experiments. results show that outperforms GPSR+Predict terms ratio, overhead, end delay, throughput. ratios enhancement approaches 40%.

An Energy-aware Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc Networks
The high-level contribution of this paper is an energy-aware version of the well-known position-based Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing (GPSR) protocol for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). In the proposed energy-aware GPSR protocol, referred to as E-GPSR, we optimize the greedy forwarding mode as follows: a forwarding node first determines a candidate set of neighbor nodes – the nodes that lie...
متن کاملGreedy Perimeter Stateless Routing In Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks
Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing (GPSR) is a Position-Based Routing Protocol for Wireless Networks that uses the Position of routers. GPSR makes greedy forwarding decision by using closest neighbor’s information of destination. In GPSR each node has the knowledge of its current physical position and also the neighbor node, this knowledge about node provides better routing. When a packet reach...
متن کاملAn Improved Location-Aided Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks with Greedy Approach
A mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a dynamically reconfigurable wireless network that does not have a fixed infrastructure. Due to the high mobility of nodes, the network topology of MANETs always changes. This makes it more difficult to find the routes that message packets use when they are routed. In this paper, we propose an efficient greedy location-aided routing (GLAR) scheme to improve th...

Wireless network offers freedom moving around the effective transmission area and the flexibility and easy to use function for Internet application. Many applications of computer network involve multiple users that will rely on the ability of the network to provide multicast services. Thus, multicasting will be concerned as an essential part of Ad Hoc networks. Some of the proposed routing algo...
