LB1031 Using social media to elucidate the patient experience with common acne treatments

Acne affects 50 million Americans annually and can have marked psychological effects on patients, who may also poor experiences with different treatments. Our goal was to determine emotional sentiment associated patient global impressions of change (PGIC) for common Through Brandwatch, a social media analysis tool, our team at The University Illinois mined 90,121 posts pertaining key words in relation acne expressions satisfaction or disappointment, twelve treatments: adapalene, azelaic acid, benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin, dapsone, doxycycline, erythromycin, isotretinoin, minocycline, salicylic spironolactone, tretinoin.
