Large-Eddy Simulation of Turbulent Flow over Wavy Wall with Different Wave Steepness

Large-eddy simulation (LES) with dynamic one-equation subgrid-scale stress model was utilized to study the characteristics of turbulent flow over sea-surface generalized as two-dimensional wavy wall different wave steepness. The statistical field and pressure distribution were presented in detail. results showed that separation zones induce stronger convection steepness increases. Reynolds shear near boundary positive correlation steepness, while outer region, time-averaged fields seemed be insensitive boundary. equivalent velocity profiles obtained from spatial averaging indicated lower occurred increase due increased pressure-induced form drag. vortex structures also visualized vertically-bent which induced negative at stoss side is effect age.
