Large Bore Vascular Access Closure Device Strategies

چکیده
BackgroundThe optimal strategy for large bore vascular closure following TAVR is a matter of contention as major bleeding and complications remain challenge. We compared three strategies post-TAVR in terms safety efficacy: dual ProGlide-based strategy, hybrid ProGlide Angio-Seal, MANTA strategy.MethodsPatients were enrolled one the strategies: two ProGlides, single with an 8 F or 18 MANTA.ResultsIn total, 172 patients this study: 86 group, 40 ProGlide/Angio-Seal 46 group. Hemostasis was achieved 95% patients. associated vessel occlusion 2% cases. The group required extra device to achieve hemostasis 35% cases.ConclusionThe MANTA, are all effective, but there important differences between them which mandate careful consideration by operators.Abbreviations: TAVR: Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement; VCD: Vascular Closure Device; CT: Computed Tomography; DSA: Digital Subtraction Angiography

Percutaneous Plug-Based Arteriotomy Closure Device for Large-Bore Access: A Multicenter Prospective Study.
OBJECTIVES The authors sought to study the safety and efficacy of the MANTA Vascular Closure Device (VCD), a novel collagen-based technology dedicated to closure of large-bore arteriotomies. BACKGROUND Novel transfemoral therapeutic interventions requiring large-bore catheters have become valid minimally invasive options but have inherent access management challenges. To date, no dedicated va...
متن کاملSurface-Treated versus Untreated Large-Bore Catheters as Vascular Access in Hemodialysis and Apheresis Treatments
Background. Catheter-related infections, thrombosis, and stenosis are among the most frequent complications associated with catheters, which are inserted in vessels. Surface treatment processes of the outer surface, such as ion-beam-assisted deposition, can be used to mitigate such complications. Methods. This retrospective study (1992-2007) evaluated silver-coated (54 patients) and noncoated (...
متن کاملSafety and Efficacy of the Prostar XL Vascular Closing Device for Percutaneous Closure of Large Arterial Access Sites
Purpose. The purpose of this study is to retrospectively evaluate the efficacy and safety of the Prostar XL device for percutaneous large access site closure in an unselected patient and operator collective. Materials and Methods. All patients (n = 50) who had received percutaneous vascular closing with the Prostar XL device in our institution with follow-up data of at least 6 months were retro...

متن کاملA novel vascular sealing device for closure of percutaneous arterial access sites.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the safety and efficacy of a novel vascular sealing device that incorporates a unique low-profile balloon-positioning catheter and a procoagulant delivered after diagnostic cardiac catheterization and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) procedures. Current management of the vascular access site after percutaneous interventions is as...
