چکیده
In the present study, lap joints of dissimilar 5052 aluminum alloy and pure copper were fabricated by friction stir spot welding process. The work was aimed to find simultaneous effect parameters such as tool rotary speed (1000, 1500, 2000 rpm) dwell time (5, 10, 15 s) on shear force (LSF), hardness, microstructure evolution. Also, statistical models quality characteristics developed understand which parameter has dominant characteristics. Research findings showed that obtain sound with high strength, 1500 rpm s should be selected. It provides sufficient heat input for mechanical interlocking prevents formation coarse thick intermetallic compounds (IMCs) in zone. On other hand, achieve maximum chosen provide enough compound 10 used prevent refining. Moreover, from analyses, it found are significant factors strength respectively. order attain 1630 14 used. condition, 1980 N hardness 78 V achieved desirability 86%.

متن کاملStudying the Possibility to Weld AA1100 Aluminum Alloy by Friction Stir Spot Welding
Abstract—Friction stir welding is a modern and an environmentally friendly solid state joining process used to joint relatively lighter family of materials. Recently, friction stir spot welding has been used instead of resistance spot welding which has received considerable attention from the automotive industry. It is environmentally friendly process that eliminated heat and pollution. In this...
متن کاملStudy on the Joining of Titanium and Aluminum Dissimilar Alloys by Friction Stir Welding
Titanium alloy TC1 and Aluminum alloy LF6 were butt jointed and lap jointed by friction stir welding (FSW), and the influence of process parameters on formation of weld surface, cross-section morphology and strength were studied. The results show that, Titanium and Aluminum dissimilar alloy is difficult to be butt joined by FSW, and some defects such as cracks and grooves are easy to occur. Whe...
متن کاملAnalysis and Comparison of Friction Stir Welding and Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding of Aluminum Alloy
Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid-state joining process; i.e., no melting occurs. The welding process is promoted by the rotation and translation of an axis-symmetric non-consumable tool along the weld centerline. Thus, the FSW process is performed at much lower temperatures than conventional fusion welding, nevertheless it has some disadvantages. Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding (LAFS...
