ABSTRACT The purpose of this report is to describe the case a patient who underwent awake craniotomy for neurosurgical resection glioma and pre, intra postoperative linguistic assessment. Male patient, 27 years old, incomplete higher education presenting vomiting, mental confusion tonic-clonic seizures. After evaluation by team due preoperative guidance, proposal excision lesion while was clarified accepted. At start procedure, fields were adjusted keep airway eyes accessible mapping with electrical stimulation intraoperative language Due location tumor close speech motor area, tasks proposed assessment in four moments: preoperative, intraoperative, immediate mediate postoperative. skills tested assessments were: comprehension expression oral language, transposition, associative naming, visual discrimination, fluency syntax organization. In order control eliminate learning effect testing, same requested, but different contents testing phases. Surgery allowed complete safe tumor, without or damage patient. Team engagement, interdisciplinary interaction detailed surgical planning constitute pillar good result such complex delicate procedure
