Landslides, a Key Landform in the Global Geological Heritage

Landslides are important components of global geoheritage, but awareness their significance and value in such terms seems scanty the scientific community. normally identified among various features geological geomorphological interest, often considered a source hazard. However, they seldom as geosites part geoheritage. This paper aims at filling these gaps by highlighting importance landslides After short introduction on values criteria to define landforms geosites, based literature review, we show what extent have been defined geomorphosites geoheritage around world. We then outline three aspects that should be specifically identification geomorphosites, namely 1) past present climate changes, 2) anthropic signature, 3) risk perception. Finally, describe four cases spectacular serve significant examples worldwide.
