Landscape Ecological Risk Assessment under Multiple Indicators

چکیده

Rapid urbanization and intensification of human activities increases the risk disturbance ecological systems via multiple sources, with consequences for regional security health. Landscape assessment (LERA) is an effective way to identify allocate resources. We used north south Qinling Mountain area as a case study analyze spatial heterogeneity landscape using potential- connectedness-resilience three-dimensional (PCR 3D) framework based on integrated dynamic concept from adaptive cycle theory. explored factors driving risks model GeoDetector. The results show that comprehensive was north–south polarized dominated by low moderate levels (90.13% total risk) across whole area. high-risk centered Weihe plain Mountains (NQL), while low-risk areas accounted 86.87% were prevalent high potential connectedness in Xi’an–Xianyang urban agglomeration those high-resilience upper reaches Hanjiang River. vast majority (SQL) at risk. In terms forces, population density vegetation coverage (NDVI) are primary affecting Our findings suggest anthropogenic activity cause socioeconomic exploitation environmental conservation need be rebalanced achieve sustainability social ecosystem. PCR 3D LERA employed this can inform health optimize progress scales.

The management of areas with landscape ecological approach helps us to have more integrated of considering completely management and also keep the area’s values. Lar National Park and Varjin Protected Area are the most important areas of their biodiversity and wildlife habitats. The aim of this study was quantification of fragmentation in Lar National Park and Varjin Protected Area and to compa...

Ecological Design of Urban Landscape

Paying attention to the spatial placement of the elements (man-made or natural) based on the landscape pattern and ecological processes in urban design would have a considerable impact on both human and the nature. In a way that the discords in the placement of patchs in respect to each other, or in respect to visual corridors and urban matrixes lead to the unwanted results in the cities. The e...

Ecological risk assessment of heavy metals from cement factory dust

Background: The release of metals from industrial factories is one of the most important sources of environmental pollution. The present study aimed to determine the concentration of heavy metals like cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), nickel (Ni), and lead (Pb) in dust around the cement factory. Methods: A total of 22 dust samples were collected from areas around the cement factory...

Human and Ecological Risk Assessment

Yellow perch (YP) are metal tolerant fish that form large populations in many metal-impacted regions across Canada. While they are able to survive and reproduce successfully in environments with water and sediment metal concentrations that are toxic to many invertebrates, perch experience a suite of direct and indirect impacts. YP were studied in a series of Canadian Precambrian Shield lakes ne...
