Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and evaluation of response to breast cancer chemotherapy

Breast cancer is the leading cause of death in women worldwide. The aim this study was to determine value post-therapy serum LDH assessing response at completion chemotherapy breast patients. This a prospective cross-sectional with data collection from May 2019 November 2020, University Hospital Bogodogo and SANDOF Polyclinic. We performed assay on patients end who were least 18 years old. Thirty (30) included, mean age 47.47 ± 2.10 years. Based RECIST criteria, 46.67% had successful chemotherapy, while 53.33% poor response. 256.15±25.99 U/L elevated LDH.
