L-Cysteine-Modified Transfersomes for Enhanced Epidermal Delivery of Podophyllotoxin

چکیده
The purpose of this study was to evaluate L-cysteine-modified transfersomes as the topical carrier for enhanced epidermal delivery podophyllotoxin (POD). L-cysteine-deoxycholic acid (LC-DCA) conjugate synthesized via an amidation reaction. POD-loaded (POD-LCTs) were prepared a thin membrane dispersion method and characterized their particle size, zeta potential, morphology, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) in vitro release. Subsequently, skin permeation retention, fluorescence distribution skin, hematoxylin–eosin staining vivo irritation studied. POD-LCTs formed spherical shapes with size 172.5 ± 67.2 nm potential −31.3 6.7 mV. Compared POD-Ts, provided significantly lower drug penetration through porcine ear increased retention (p < 0.05). Meaningfully, unlike extensive (POD-Ts) throughout tissue, mainly located epidermis. Moreover, did not induce irritation. Therefore, might be promising POD.

Transfersomes: A Novel Vesicular Carrier for Enhanced Transdermal Delivery of Sertraline: Development, Characterization, and Performance Evaluation
The aim of the present study was to investigate transfersomes as a transdermal delivery system for the poorly soluble drug, sertraline, in order to overcome the troubles associated with its oral delivery. Different transfersomal formulations were prepared with non-ionic surfactant (span 80), soya lecithin, and carbopol 940 by the rotary evaporation sonication method. The prepared formulations w...
متن کاملTransdermal Drug Delivery through Carriers: Transfersomes
Delivery of drug through Transdermal route represents a most convenient and novel approach. Transfersomes were found to be more effective as they render controlled release of drug due to depot formation in skin and were more effective in transdermal delivery. Transfersomes are applied to the skin and permeate through the stratum corneum lipid lamellar regions as a result of the hydration and os...
متن کاملEnhanced Transdermal Delivery of Diclofenac Sodium via Conventional Liposomes, Ethosomes, and Transfersomes
The aim of this study was to improve the transdermal permeation of Diclofenac sodium, a poorly water-soluble drug, employing conventional liposomes, ethosomes, and transfersomes. The prepared formulations had been characterized for the loaded drug amount and vesicle size. The prepared vesicular systems were incorporated into 1% Carbopol 914 gel, and a survey of in vitro drug release and drug re...

The electrochemical response of S- and R-naproxen enantiomers was investigated on L-cysteine/reduced graphene oxide modified glassy carbon electrode (L-Cys/RGO/GCE). The production of the reduced graphene oxide and L-cysteine on the surface of the glassy carbon electrode was done by using electrochemical processes. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were us...
متن کاملAlginate modified nanostructured calcium carbonate with enhanced delivery efficiency for gene and drug delivery.
To improve the performance of nanostructured calcium carbonate in gene delivery, a hydrophilic polysaccharide, alginate, was added to calcium carbonate co-precipitation systems to form alginate/CaCO(3)/DNA nanoparticles. The size and ζ-potential of the nanoparticles were measured by a zetasizer. Due to the existence of alginate chains which retarded the growth of calcium carbonate based co-prec...
