L-Aminoguanidine Induces Imbalance of ROS/RNS Homeostasis and Polyamine Catabolism of Tomato Roots after Short-Term Salt Exposure

چکیده

Polyamine (PA) catabolism mediated by amine oxidases is an important process involved in fine-tuning PA homeostasis and related mechanisms during salt stress. The significance of these short-term responses to stress is, however, not well understood. In the present study, effects L-aminoguanidine (AG) on tomato roots treated with induced NaCl were studied. AG usually used as a copper oxidase (CuAO or DAO) inhibitor. our other alterations catabolism, such reduced polyamine (PAO), also observed AG-treated plants. Salt led increase reactive oxygen nitrogen species root apices, evidenced situ fluorescent staining free levels. Such alleviated treatment, showing possible antioxidant effect exposed catabolic enzyme activities decreased, while imbalance hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), nitric oxide (NO), sulfide (H2S) concentrations displayed dependence intensity. These changes suggest that AG-mediated inhibition could dramatically rearrange backgrounds, especially NO-related mechanisms. More studies are, needed decipher precise mode action plants treatments.

Activation of polyamine catabolism in transgenic rats induces acute pancreatitis.

Polyamines are required for optimal growth and function of cells. Regulation of their cellular homeostasis is therefore tightly controlled. The key regulatory enzyme for polyamine catabolism is the spermidine/spermine N(1)-acetyltransferase (SSAT). Depletion of cellular polyamines has been associated with inhibition of growth and programmed cell death. To investigate the physiological function ...

Polyamine catabolism and disease.

In addition to polyamine homoeostasis, it has become increasingly clear that polyamine catabolism can play a dominant role in drug response, apoptosis and the response to stressful stimuli, and contribute to the aetiology of several pathological states, including cancer. The highly inducible enzymes SSAT (spermidine/spermine N1-acetyltransferase) and SMO (spermine oxidase) and the generally con...

Salt-sensitive hypertension develops after short-term exposure to Angiotensin II.

We hypothesized that short-term exposure to angiotensin II (Ang II) could result in structural and functional changes in the kidney that would favor sodium retention and the development of sustained hypertension. To test this hypothesis, rats were exposed to pressor doses (435 ng. kg-1. min-1) of Ang II for 2 weeks. The infusion of Ang II was associated with acute hypertension, renal dysfunctio...
