Küçük Hücreli Akciğer Kanserinin Beyin Metastazlarının 18F-FDG PET/CT'deki Görünümleri

Purpose: We evaluate the appearances of brain metastases (BMs) detected by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) small cell lung cancer (SCLC) on 18Fluor-Fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT).
 Patients and methods: SCLC patients who had an 18F-FDG PET/CT scan a MRI within 30 days for initial staging were included. was used to detect BMs. The results BMs assessed. On study, classified as undetectable, hypometabolic, hypermetabolic, or mixed patterns (lesions with both hypermetabolic hypometabolic parts). 
 Results: A total 51 [48 (94.1%) whom male 3 (5.9%) female, average age 62.57 ± 9.64] included in this study. Fifteen (29.4%) limited stage, whereas 36 (69.6%) extensive stage. In 11 individuals, indicated 28 PET/CT, 13 visible. following PET/CT: (n: 4), 6), 3). While mean diameter 16mm; undetected ones 4.3 mm.
 Conclusion: can have variety appearances, including patterns. other hand, failure millimetric size prevents proper staging.
